BSA Pledges $30,000 to New Sports Complex in Bridgewater
BSA has been involved in discussions with local sports associations about the possibility of building a multi-field, flood-lit turf facility behind the High School. As part of that activity, BSA has pledged a total of $30,000 to help with the engineering design work necessary to continue the project. We are extremely happy that we have been asked to, and are able to provide this type of critical support to the project. Dear BSA Member,
It's been a spectacular fall for BSA with a lot of activity. The season "Kicked Off" with the 21st Annual BSA Kick-Off Classic in September, continued with some great regular season Mid-NJ, MAPs and JAGs games, and even had some great tournament showings spread throughout the fall. This newsletter will provide some (but certainly not all!!) of the many highlights we've had this fall. I hope you enjoy!

BSA Fall Team Successes!
 BSA's Fall season was extremely successful. We had a number of teams in both the boys and girls division who won or came in second in their flight. In addition, we had several teams who won or made the championship game in various high level New Jersey and out of state tournaments. Finally, all of our BSA teams showed tremendous improvement throughout the season regardless of wins and losses. Click Here to read even more about our Fall Successes. |

BSA Kick-Off Classic
 The 21st Annual Kick-Off classic was a great success. We had over 160 teams entered in the tournament and even with some rain leading up to the tournament, all went well. This years tournament added real time tweets from the Bridgewater Soccer twitter account ( are you following us???). We are already planning on some new enhancements for next year!!! |

BSA 50/50 Fundraiser
 We appreciate the loyal support that so many of our members and friends showed for this years fundraiser. Through your hard work and dedication we sold $15,000 worth of tickets. The winners were drawn at Crim fields during the BSA Kick-Off tournament.

Free Summer Soccer!
Did you Know!!!!  BSA provided a free summer soccer program to over 300 kids ages 7 - 16 this past June / July. The summer soccer program provided small sided games (3v3, 5v5) focused on providing lots of touches on the ball. This "street soccer" style program was a rousing success and we are looking at repeating this program again for 2010. Thank you to all who helped make this happen! |

BSA Scholarship
The BSA scholarship was developed in 1985 with the intention to assist club soccer player(s) in their pursuit of education after High School. A portion of the annual tournament proceeds fund this worthwhile club award each year.
Scholarship applicants are asked to submit an essay that details their soccer experience within the BSA and application form by January 1st each year. The applicant essay is then reviewed and discussed at the regular scheduled January Board of Directors meeting. At this meeting scholarship recipient(s) are voted on and then notified. Recipient(s) are invited, as club guests, to the annual dinner dance held each year in February.
